COMPETITION STARTS IN
Now is the time to explore Slovenia. My way.
Everything is nearby in the only European country where the Alps, the Mediterranean, the Karst and the Pannonian Plain meet. Though it is only about a two-hour drive from the capital and Central Slovenia to the most remote corners of Slovenia, the diversity you can experience here is truly amazing.
Active holidays in the embrace of nature
Slovenia is a green playground in the heart of Europe. Diverse landscapes offer a wide range of possibilities for active outdoor adventures that are almost impossible to be found elsewhere.
Slovenia is always the place to be
The identity of the Slovenian nation is inseparably connected with its culture and the Slovenian language. Explore rich history of Slovenian lands dating back at least 60,000 years and discover some of the oldest artefacts in the world. Explore the remains of some of the hundreds of castles and manors or visit one of the numerous festivals or museums and galleries.
Fun for children – where magic happens
Experience family holidays by the sea or embark on water adventures in Slovenian spas. Find refreshment by rivers and lakes. Head to adventure parks and get your adrenaline flowing. Encounter fairy-tale heroes in the middle of green meadows and forests. Go on an outdoor adventure – hop on a bike or explore on foot. Or have a splendid time on a farm.
Liveliness of the capital mixed with nature and cultural experiences
Ljubljana & Central Slovenia, the area that beats to the rhythm of the capital, is a treasure trove of urban culture and art and boasts both green landscapes and UNESCO sites. The UNESCO-listed sites include the prehistoric pile-dwellings on the outskirts of the capital, the mercury mining and lacemaking heritage in Idrija, the unique street performances of passion plays in Škofja Loka, and even ancient forests of European importance – all within only an hour’s drive from the capital.
